Final Piece History

Final Piece is the result of a former newspaper writer, PR and marketing account executive realizing that the Internet was the most effective tool to reach people.

Well, it came to life after that realization, and a conversation with his wife who said he could take this leap add added “So you are basically the final piece to someone’s business?”

Working in PR and Marketing was fun and challenging, but this awesome tool he had been using since childhood – the Internet – was really starting to become an entirely new way for people to communicate and share information in real-time.

Since 2010, Final Piece has helped businesses navigate the sometimes overwhelming Internet terrain that continues to grow, change and amaze everyone.

  • Matt Vaughan


    Matt started Final Piece Consulting in 2010 after working as a journalist, PR Account Executive and marketer. He enjoys (most) everything about the Internet and spends his free time with his wife and two small children. When he isn’t hard at work for his clients you can find him somewhere near a body of water, at the local pub yelling at one of his teams, or attempting to regain the athleticism of his youth.

  • Bobby McDonald

    Content Marketing Manager

    Bobby grew up in Charlotte, NC before attending college at NC State for his undergrad and ECU for his graduate degree.  He is a self-identified news junkie with a work background in digital marketing including content marketing, social media marketing and search engine optimization.  Long story short, he’ll find a way to make your website profitable (or more profitable).  In his free time Bobby is partial to a quality draft beer, movies that make you think, playing the guitar, snowboarding or some good ol’ fashioned Panthers football.

    Head of Video Production

    Michael graduated from Living arts College with a degree in Digital Film. He is the Recipient of aTelly Award, 3 Videographer Awards, and 3 Empixx Awards. Michael specializes in Cinematography, Digital Video Editing, and motion graphics.

    As President and Owner of S Line Productions, with over seven years of experience, his mission is to be a leader in the video industry by providing superior quality video’s and state of the art editing.

  • Angela McCain


    Angela grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and graduated from Kent State University with a degree in Advertising. She loves spending her free time with her two sons, traveling and hanging out with friends and family.

    When Angela isn’t working on social media management, you can find her designing custom wedding stationery for brides all over the United States for her own business. Modern Mama Designs.

  • Tyler Bergholz

    Creative Director

    Tyler Bergholz was born in 1980 in Cleveland, Ohio and currently lives and works in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 2002 he received a BA in Graphic Design from East Carolina University. His influences include Robert Rauschenberg, Jasper Johns and Christopher Wool.

    He has worked as a graphic designer for multiple universities, as well as GNC, and his work is frequently exhibited.

  • Megan Riley

    Digital Strategist

    Megan started her career in IT networking but moved over to digital marketing because the hours were better. She is a SEO and Adwords wizard and enjoys finding new sources of traffic for websites. When she isn’t working on digital marketing strategy, she is a tour guide, taking small guided groups all over the world with her tour business, Peregrine West.
